SUTTON PARK - A TRAWL THROUGH THE ARCHIVES

Hi, This is the first of hopefully many journeys back into the past to explore the mysterious and downright silly world of Sutton Park; Beeches Broadcasting Company's strangest show - which ran from 1992 until the start of 2001. Many of the images here on the site have never been seen before and many of the episodes were never properly edited - only the first 1000 or so out of over 3000 episodes that were made.
Even though the show hasn't been made since 2001, many of it's stars have gone onto other things and Sutton Park continues to be referenced in a lot of my own projects - with characters reappearing in my novels, scripts and photographs. More about that as the site develops.
Sutton Park star, Nick Goodman and I, have begun work on both a retrospective DVD project concerning the show and I am also using a lot of the stills that have been lifted from footage for the DVD for this site and for the first of several Sutton Park books that I hope to compile and make available via www.lulu.com over the next few years.
Anyway - this first post takes us back, quite randomly to Autumn 1995 and features a number of the shows regulars at this time, played by myself, Nick Goodman, Lee Freeman and Andrew Trowbridge.
I hope you enjoy the photos and thank you to everyone who appeared in the show over the years. I'll be after you all for anecdotes in the near future - so be warned!!! :)
Love and silliness, Paul xx
Copyright "Sutton Park" 1992-2007, the cast of the show. Thanks to Andrew Trowbridge for the logo.

First up we have some stills of Mr Andrew Trowbridge - being very mysterious in late 1995, around Mountfield House; the Chandler ancestral home!! :)

Above. Mr T in a very dapper outfit, goes on search of continued silliness all in a good cause!!!

Above. Mr T is caught unawares by the Sutton Park narrator.

Above. Trowby discusses time travel with Crispin the camp dinosaur.

Above. Trowby is left shocked and confused by Crispin's revelations!!!

Above. Mr Lee Freeman as the Sutton Park viewer in Salisbury for the first time on 10th November 1995. In this clip Lee has come across a stick of dynamite in the wilds of Harnham chalkpit... Could it be that everything is about to go BANG!?!

Above. Paul celebrates his 22nd birthday in Salisbury on 10th November 1995, little knowing he is about to be upstaged by the viewer - who is waiting for a chance to give him his birthday present!!

Above. The viewer makes an appearance...

Above. Paul notices that the viewer is trying to get in on the act...

Above. The much missed and sought-after Lee Freeman, once again in the role of the viewer. In his time on Sutton Park Lee played all sorts of characters - but we'll come to that later...

Above. Little Jay makes his very first appearance in Sutton Park in episode 1111 of the series, on the 12th November 1995.

Above. Paul and Nick are overseen by a mysterious surveillance camera - Autumn 1995.

THAT'S ALL FOR THIS TIME SUTTON PARK FANS - MORE SOON!!!!
WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!
